Homework Nov. 9-13

Monday (Phonics/writing) 1.) In class, we have been learning how to stretch out words to listen for letter sounds. Find 3 things in or around your house that begin with "N". Stretch out each word (i.e. nose would sound like nnnnnnoooooooosssssss). Write the sounds you heard to make the word. Have a parent write the true spelling below your word. 2.) Write your first name 5 times. Make sure that only the first letter is capital and all the rest are lowercase.

Tuesday (Math) - Draw 10 Thanksgiving feathers and color them two different fall colors, such as brown and orange. Next, write the numbers 1-10 inside the leaves. Last, sort them into two groups by drawing circles. Write the number of leaves in each group.

Wednesday (Science/Social Studies) – Think of three animals that live in the desert. Draw a picture of the desert, and draw those three animals in your picture. Label everything in your drawing.

Thursday (Language Arts) - Write five words that begin with the letter Nn. Copy, read and fill in the blanks for the following sentences. Use words that begin with the letter Nn:

The cat had _________ kittens.
______ comes after eight.
The squirrels ate the _______.
