We have discovered a great health website called Crawford the Cat. There are some video clips starring a cute cat named Crawford who teaches the kids all about health. You will find a read-along book and coloring sheets there as well.

Enjoy!

Class News

We have lots of great learning activities coming up in the month of October. On the 14th of the month, local firefighters will visit the kindergarteners, talk about safety and fire prevention, and give the kids the opportunity to climb aboard the fire truck.

Later in the month, we will take a field trip to High Bridge Park for a fall nature walk. We will search for signs of the changing weather and seasons, and collect items we find. We will be using those items in class for math activities, journaling and art. Stay tuned for more information and a field trip permission slip which will come home next week.

On October 29th, we will have our Harvest Party and Storybook Parade. Students will be assigned to read their favorite story, journal about the story, then dress up like one of the characters from the story they read. More information will come home very soon, but in the meantime, be thinking of what story character you child might want to portray.

Well, that's all for now! We are planning to put up some great PowerPoints and learning videos (created by us) in the next blog update that you can use with your kids at home for a fun review of what we learned in class.
