Homework April 5-9
Put the date at the top of each journal page! Parents, please work with your child, but do not do the work for you child. Let them show you what they know!
Monday: NO SCHOOL
Tuesday (Phonics & Writing)1.) Write your first and last name using correct capital and lowercase letters and today’s date; 2.) Write a short story (2-4 sentences) about a dog, a hog, and a frog. Use the word “said” in your story. Draw an illustration using colors and details.
Wednesday (Science/Social Studies): Draw or cut out three pictures of objects that will stick to a magnet.
Thursday (Language Arts): April showers bring May flowers! Using High Frequency Words and, a, I, is, the, and to, write a story about a rainy day. In the story tell why you like or do not like a rainy day. Illustrate your story with a picture of clothing you could wear in the rain.
Friday (Science): How do you know it is Spring? While you are playing outside this weekend, look for signs of spring. On Monday, tell your teacher what you found.
*Remind your child to turn in their Homework Journal this week. They are due on Fridays.*
