Also, all drawings must be done by the students. We want to see what they can do.

Monday (Phonics & Writing): NO SCHOOL

Tuesday (Math): Get cereal pieces (or any identical group of manipulatives) and three objects. Measure the objects using your cereal pieces. Make sure the objects and the pieces both start at the beginning or starting point. Draw your objects and write how long each object is.

Wednesday (Science/Social Studies): We have been talking about the 4 seasons. Find a picture for each season, and paste it in your journal. Write a sentence of what you like about that season, or draw or paste a little picture that goes with that season, like sunglasses for summer, pumpkin for fall, umbrella for spring, and snowman for winter.

Thursday (Language Arts): Some animals make their homes in snow and ice. Label and draw pictures of 3 animals that live in snow and ice.

Friday(Fun Family Project): Martin Luther King,Jr. Day was on Monday! Each child will be given a coloring sheet of Martin Luther King,Jr. Construct a poster using the coloring sheet of Martin Luther King,Jr. Write 3 sentences with important facts about Martin Luther King,Jr. You may get info from history books, library books, news articles or the internet. Parents, please assist your child in celebrating this great historical event.
