Put the date at the top of each journal page! Parents, please work with your child, but do not do the work for you child. Let them show you what they know!

**FIELD TRIP ON JUNE 8TH…SEND IN PERMISSION SLIPS AND $$$ THIS WEEK!**

Monday (Phonics & Writing): MEMORIAL DAY—NO HOMEWORK

Tuesday (Math): Draw a picture showing a simple subtraction problem. Now turn the problem around and use the same numbers to create a different subtraction problem...ex.) 8-3=5, then 8-5=3

Wednesday (Science/Social Studies): We have been doing a chapter on Day and Night. We've learned many things like opposite pairs of day and night, morning and evening, full Moon and new Moon, plus many other vocabulary words like sky, cloud, and stars. Cut and paste or draw pictures to illustrate your choice of 6 of these terms. Write labels for your pictures.

Thursday (Language Arts): 1.) Write the following words: hug, bug, jug, nut, and hut. 2.) Read and write this sentence 2 times: I like to hug my bug, then Illustrate using colors and details. 3.) Write a silly sentence using the words, hug, bug, jug, hut, and nut.

Friday (Fun Stuff): Practice tying your shoes this weekend.
